Black and white in a square format has always been a passion of mine. The square offers me a strong, minimalist form of expression and the absence of color directs the focus to contrasts, shapes, textures and lighting conditions. Here I show my freelance work as a reportage and documentary photographer.

It all started with a second-hand Hasselblad 500C, which I financed with my first apprentice's wages and a microloan from my parents.

Today I take analogue and digital photos, I develop the black and white films myself and digitize the negatives. I then edit and archive the photos with Lightroom Classic. The pictures show reality, I only change the brightness and contrast. There is no retouching.
